one way that i preserve my mats is by using basting spray from walmart or targets sewing section. it is a 24 ounce can that you spray very very lightly across your mat once the adhesive wears out. this will allow you to use your mats over and over again. the can is only 3 bucks!

"where is THE cheapest place to buy the holder and the refilss?" I haven't searched the whole web, but Tanya at Tanya's Creations (tanyascreations.com I think) had very good prices and FANTASTIC service. I bought my ATG from her and just ordered 8 more refills!

I love this tool. For many, many years I have used my trusty old Fiskars gray/orange paper trimmer to score cards. I'd slip the blade out and put the scoring blade in, then swap out the blades again. It worked OK. But when I saw Tricia using Scor-it on CraftTVWeekly, I couldn't resist it.
Now I see there is a smaller version of the Scor-it, and I'm very tempted to buy it as well. It would save a lot of room on my crafting table. But I'm still glad I have the full size version, in case I ever get around to making the project that Tricia made on the web show.

I inadvertenly ordered two full size Scor-t boards. I'd like to sell the other for the bargain price of $45 plus postage. Anyone want a bargain?

I just got my Cricut for my birthday yesterday (even though my birthday isn't for two more days) and I LOVE IT! I've cut so many things in so many types of cardstock that I've almost worn out my mat already, well not quite but it's looking well-used! Thanks to everyone who has posted here with your experiences. You really helped me decide that it should be on the top of my birthday wish list.

I have the yellow gun with the 1/2 inch tape and I love it! The only down-side for me is the tape is definitely not repositionable....LOL Once it is down, it is really stuck down. I did learn a little trick at the CS Rolling Retreat in Sacramento: to make any adhesive less sticky just tap it against fabric like cotton, a t-shirt etc. It will pick up enough lint to act like a repositionable adhesive. I plan to buy the red gun to use for the 1/4 inch tape but for those that don't want two guns, there is an adaptor for the yellow gun that allws you to use the 1/4 inch stuff.

The one source I've seen mentioned over and over is www. framingsupplies.com. That's where I got my guns. (Yes, guns!) I have both sizes. I buy my refills a dozen at a time, and their price is very good. I love the tape, the gun, the ease of refilling, and the holding power of the adhesive.

I have the Wishblade too. The older version, not the new one, and I absolutely love it. The only thing I did not like about it is that it was complicated to meld letters together. But apparently with the new software they have (that comes with the new Wishblades?) it makes it much easier. So I think I will have to splurge again!

When my Wishblade mat loses stickiness I spray it with Krylon Repositionable adhesive. It works like a charm. I must be the Krylon brand. It looks like a can of spray paint. I have found it at Michaels or Hobby Lobby in there glue isle.
