It's mighty useful for such an ugly tool. It's quieter than a hammer for setting eyelets, and easy to use too. It has two sizes of hole punches and with the handy depth gauges, it's easy to punch a straight line of holes. It's a little heavy and bulky, but another great tool!

The handles are a bit wide. If you have arthritis, this could be tricky to use. I would recommend trying it out in a shop if that's your situation. It cuts through almost ANYTHING! I would buy it just for this and the ease in punching a straight line of holes. It will punch through chipboard without a problem. I would recommend it over a japanese screw hole punch if you only needed to punch holes at the edge of something. The only drawback is that you can only punch holes or set eyelets to a 1" depth. I absolutely love this tool and think it's something every scrapper should have.

I also find the handles a bit wide for comfort and I don't have arthritis and I do have a pretty large hand. Positives- it punches holes easily and sets eyelets and such quietly. Negatives- handle size, weight, and it won't reach the middle of a page. If I were packing for a crop and had to pack light, I'd leave this tool and make sure I packed my screwpunch and my hammer and setter set.
